Hourglass Shape
If you are an Hourglass body shape, your shoulder line measurements align with your hip measurements and you have a defined waist, whether or not you are happy with your tummy section. You wear the same size on both top and bottom. Most people associate the hourglass shape with curves on bust, hips and bottom which is often the case but you can also be a neat hourglass, with smaller boobs. The hourglass is a clearly defined silhouette.
Your Styling Goals
To maintain the body’s naturally balanced proportions, maximising your silhouette and enhancing your waistline.
How?
Wear stretchy and soft fabrics such as lightweight or fine knits, silk, lightweigth denim, soft leather and fabrics with elastane content/stretch
Wear fitted clothing, avoiding anything shapeless
Choose items which are simple, clean and uncluttered
Avoid high necks and choose scoop, v, U or sweetheart. If wearing a crew neck, always wear a statement necklace
Invest in a well fitting bra which lifts the bust up
Bodysuits are smoothing and skimming on you
Avoid straight fitting jackets or jackets which hide the waist. Jackets should be waist or thigh length.
Wear tops which finish at the waist, or tops which are fitted/tucked in.
Avoid tapered or skinny trousers as these will create a triangle shape.
Straight, wide or bootcut jeans
Bodycon dresses, fitted dresses, cutout waist details and 2-piece co-ords work beautifully on you
